I appreciate that the miscellaneous (aka junk) drawer is the biggest one

Haha it feels kinda necessary with how I function 😅

I've had this box since I was 16 and I think this is the most organized it's ever been

Oh im with you, i call it the "problem solving" drawer. I need something specific but idk what it is yet, chances are theres something in that drawer. Little offcuts of eva, wood skewers, pieces of wire, etc

But, is it shadow boxed?

I can't say I'm familiar with that term in this context

Shadow boxing is what is the often required standard in AMT to prevent FOD (Foreign Object Debris). Our generously donated Snap-on chest that was given to the Hagerstown Aviation Museum by the 175th after, their airwing was shuttered, has cut outs called Shadow boxing where your tools go. You immediately know if a tool is missing. When that happens, the entire flight line shuts down until said tool is found. A missing tool all to often leads to death. It's what has been taught to me as a very green unpaid volunteer apprentice.

Ahh! I haven't gotten to anything like that yet. It's a great idea though. Definitely worth working up to something like that, thank you!
