Ask a local Worthing estate agents
Can anyone recommend a Worthing estate agent for selling? Am looking for somewhere good with sales strategy and progression that's straightforward/trustworthy, and also doesn't treat tenants like crap or support right-wing politics etc... does that exist?
Or.. I guess... who's the least worst? Cheers 😅

Only as a buyer, but the agents at Matthew Anthony were really good when we brought a house through them 3 years ago. Everything was smooth and they provided unprompted email updates whenever anything happened on the sellers side. We never really had to chase them for anything. They even gave us a hamper when we picked up the keys as a welcome gift.
That was 3 years ago though, so who knows if they're still as good now.

Ooh cheers, they weren't yet on my radar so I'll take a lot. That sounds like a good service though!

James and James I can heartily recommend. We've used them for buying and selling, and they were fantastic throughout. Special shout-out to Sarah in the Worthing branch.
All their team have a strong work ethic and excellent communication skills. They couldn't have been more helpful. Also very good rates!

I had a great experience with Coast and Country. Independent with two Directors selling on Worthing for the last 20-30 years.

They seem to get recommended a lot so that's encouraging to hear, thanks!

I am just about to exchange (fingers crossed) im selling through Fox and Sons on chapel road, its been a very long and hard chain to be honest and the support from the guys there (Jason, Emily and Perry) has been amazing and wouldnt hesitant recommending them.
Ive also been dealing with James and James within our chain and they have been great and every time ive had to talk them has been painfree and useful, especially Sarah over there
Id avoid Charters (Michael Jones) though and could not state how much i fucked up by not getting a local conveyancing firm

Has Michael Jones rebranded as Charters? I think they're in their old office on Chapel....

Yeah they have. Tbh I bought from Michael Jones and they were great, but I'm a bit wary now they've joined up with Brand Vaughn and rebranded as Charters.

Good to know the Charters is basically Brand Vaughn so I can avoid them. Had a miserable rental experience with them…

Michael Jones sold the business TO Brand Vaughn and as part of the agreement they had to stop using his name at a certain point. Hence the rebrand

Oooo right! Yeah that's totally different. Oh that's a huge shame then :(

Following as I'm looking to buy in Worthing and feeling wary (of agents) before I even start! A fellow in Robert Luff was helpful with general market info mind. That made a good impression 🙂

Aha, feel free to ask any questions! What are you looking for? I think generally the Worthing agents are all pretty reasonable to buy from really.

Thank you, that's kind... I'm ideally wanting to be walking distance, max 20 minutes from the seafront and close to shops, amenities. I like several areas, West Worthing, Poets, the Centre, but what I want to get away from is large blocks of flats so a share of freehold conversion of a house would be good.... I get alerts from Rightmove but the market seems slow at the moment...

Get in touch with Katie Hendra. She's an independent agent and brilliant! nested.com/worthing

I’ve had good experiences with Lee Quigley, small and independent guy just keeping an honest business

Gary Evans. He is independent and has been working for 30+ years in the local area. Lots of knowledge, straightforward and trustworthy
