Discussion Downloaded, tips?

So, I saw the game on ps5 for around 10$. I’ve played a little before but I thought the horse controlling was janky and I didn’t like that I couldn’t follow the story without being forced to level up with side quests.
But I’m gonna give it a new shot. It’s the ps5 complete edition, so I’m hoping for a bit better quality and now I’m in a place where I would like to learn the combat and not just spam buttons

So, can I get any tips that will help - especially in the start of the game?

You're not forced to do side quest unless you stick with highest difficulty. If you refer to the Heart of Stone and Blood and Wine prompt that pop when you reach Velen that suggests lvl 35+ to start, those are DLC's that you should beging only after you finished the main story.
