Considering WCU

Hello! My daughter is considering attending WCU in the fall. On paper the school looks great and more importantly they offer the exact program she is looking for. I’m am a little worried about her feeling secluded, we live in a large city in Florida and not sure how she’ll acclimate to a small town feel. We are going to see the campus this weekend but any feedback both good and bad would be appreciated.

****** Update*****

Officially committed!!!! We had a great time during the open house and met a lot of great people. My daughter fell in love with the campus and felt like the school is the right fit for her and her goals. Thank you to everyone for all of your feedback and encouragement we are nervous but excited for this new journey.

Can I ask what made it click for her? We are coming down in a couple weeks from Minnesota. Any places we should for sure check out?

Sorry for the late response. She loved the close knit community feel. Everyone we met was super friendly and helpful. She loved the small classes and all of the sports offered at the school. We have toured 5 campuses everywhere from PA AR FL and this one felt right. We went hiking every day we were there we went to Asheville and spent the afternoon out there. We drove to gatlinburg and our pigeon forge to have dinner. It’s felt safe which was big for me. She loved the dorms and we liked the dinning options. I hope you guys had a great visit.
