car rental in Vejle

Hi dear citizens of Vejle!

Me and my 3 kids are on holiday in denmark next month and I am still undecided whether I ride by car all the way from Germany or I take the train up to Vejle and then rent a car for a period of 11 days, so that we are somewhat flexible around our holiday home. Biggest contra to a car rental is the price, on Europcar its about 3700 DKK, and the train fare on top of that. Do you guys know any car rental service in town that is not as expensive? I'd love to take the train and everything, but it may be too costly

Curious where this post is going to,
thank you for reading!

Last time I rented a car, I used Oscar. https://hejoscar.dk/ Was way cheaper than Europcar. There is also https://one2movebiludlejning.dk but I don't know how good that company is.

But remember you also need to include fuel and insurance. And read about how many km is included in the price.  Maybe you do not need a car every day.  There is a free bus in the summer holidays https://www.hoponvejle.dk/ Also there is many connections from Vejle. A good app is rejseplan(travel planer) to find a connection.

If you’re mainly looking at cost, it may be worth comparing some of the local and peer-to-peer options as well. Companies like Oscar are often mentioned as a cheaper alternative to the big international brands, although it’s important to compare the total price including insurance, mileage limits and fuel costs.

For an 11-day rental, I’d also check whether you actually need a car every day. Vejle has good public transport connections, and depending on your plans, a combination of trains, local buses and a few rental days could work out cheaper.

If you do decide to rent for the whole trip, I’d personally focus on the total cost with insurance included rather than just the base rental rate. Sometimes an all-inclusive rental with a company like MarSoleil can end up being better value than a cheaper headline price that comes with extra insurance costs later on.

What is your actual need of transportation? You can’t rely on public transport ? Many Danes do that
