Discussion Has anyone gotten through on the phone recently?

I’ve been trying to get through on the phone for a few days and can’t even get put in the queue. The automated operator says “we’re experiencing high call volume and cannot accept your call at the moment. Please try again later.”

Has anyone had any luck?

Thanks

I got the same. Definitely seems like they're trying to dodge angry calls

Just keep calling on repeat. Seems like Monday’s are harder to get thru in my experience. Once called 22 times before I was able to finally wait in queue.

Hello, which number did you use to get thru? I've been trying for a month now. When I made my payment request the recording said to call the twc office.

And hang up if they don't speak English well enough to help. You don't want them to enter bad info since they don't understand what you're saying which will make it even harder to correct.

Have to start the call at 7:59, should connect after 15 or 20 mins. Any other time is impossible. Adjudicating 8 weeks here.

This worked. Thanks

Did everything get resolved on the call? Hoping so.

Don't wait, escalate.

Unless you can talk to a tier 3 agent then there's no point in calling because regular agents do not have access to nor can they affect adjudications.

Users who do not file an escalation generally wait 2-20 weeks, whereas users who file an escalation wait between 2 and 9 days on average for a resolution.

I have tried everyday since January starting slightly before 8am to all hours of the day and nothing. I've tried all the gimmick numbers with all the commas and watched every YouTube video, I am desperate.

I just got through today by dialing at 7:59 and letting the automated menu just play out until the clock 8am and then hit 7, 9. Got through in 10min

If you are desperate then I am willing to help you in whatever way I can, including the resources that I've built over the past half year for users in your exact scenario.

I cannot tell from this comment or from any of your posting history on your Reddit account what the issue is but I'm sure you've probably heard of or seen comments and posts about the Archive and the Roadmap. If you click on the tab at the top of the sub, Menu, both of these show up and they have a wealth of solutions, guidance, aggregated user experience and website GUI explanations.

If you would like to discuss any of the material there or on the sub, please feel free to send me a message or a chat.

I was sent an email from UI mid February to say they would file an extension for my claim when I exhausted my benefits beginning January and was to recieve a letter of approval or denial in 7-10 business days. It's been 3 months and have not heard anything. I've contacted my local assembly member at this point but to no avail.

That was automatic.

What is the current status of your active claim?

1

u/Cajalachronicles1013 May 06 '21

Under claim status all it states is maximum benefits paid.

What kind of claim is this? UI or pua? When did the benefit year begin?

1

u/Cajalachronicles1013 May 06 '21

UI... though I applied because I lost my job as a result to the pandemic. Benefit year began in July of 2020.

Click on your Benefits tab. Benefit ex https://imgur.com/a/Z3k1UJB

You must view this in landscape or desktop mode

What are the benefit line items? In the far right column is there any amount remaining for any of the line items?

Edit: asleep soon. Will pick up tomorrow

My benefit dashboard doesn't look anything like this. I failed to mention my claim is from California.

Oh.

Welp.

Alright. Escalate to your senator and follow up with them every week on Tuesday to let them know if there has been any communication or progression on your claim.

Best of luck. Goodnight

I feel lucky since they called me back. The woman didn't speak English well, but spoke Tagalog natively and I was with my best friend that spoke Tagalog growing up so she was able to help.

Called before they opened and at 8:00am on the dot. Still had the hangup and call again message.
