Help Understanding Employer Information

Post image

I‘ve received notice that a previous employer reported hours and wages for weeks I did not work last year, and I was sent a form to fill out. Looking at this form, it looks like the employer is claiming I worked half an hour for the week ending 5/10 and they paid $278.17 for that half hour of work. Am I reading this correctly? I have all of my pay stubs, including the stubs for these weeks, so I’ve got evidence to submit, but I want to make sure I’m understanding their claim correctly before I do. Thanks in advance!

Probably a issue to do with payroll processing or the state:

fill out. Looking at this form, it looks like the employer is claiming I worked half an hour for the week ending 5/10

Coulda been a bonus or sick time being paid out

unfortunately nothing nefarious

  • They want your paystubs

  • You have the paystubs

  • One has an erroneous value for a reason unrelated to the claim

  • You should continue with the task

  • Value is clearly erroneous (Identical)

Highest Likelihood is HR rep from your old Company misunderstood; they operate in 2week payroll, ESD wasnt asking "per employer cycle" (2 weeks), they were asking about individual weeks - this caused the same value number to appear in 2 adjacent weeks, because for the ER, this was 1 payment cycle

unfortunately nothing nefarious

if you dont have a clock-in system - expect the hours to be 0

If you have a clock in system but payroll doesn't track hours per day or week - expect hours to be 0

Ah, the two week cycle versus what was requested makes the most sense here. The two weeks they’re claiming add up to what was paid out the week ending 5/17. I can’t believe I didn’t notice that earlier! Thank you so much!
