In Progress... How long to resolve week 1 pending claim?

Just wondering if anybody filed their week 1 claim and included some income from 1099 contract work. It was just $180, but after 6 days it is still pending (I know I don’t get any money for first week), and the pop up message says my claim “requires” more research. My original main unemployment claim has been processed and approved.

Just wondering if I’m going to be in limbo for weeks just because I am making a few dollars as a contractor while collecting unemployment.

I’ll answer this myself then! So I discovered I had an open issue from a previous application that had been canceled. Doesn’t matter if canceled or not: open issue must be resolved before any new claim weeks can be paid.

It was an “available for work” issue, so I went back to the old claim and put in a screenshot of my return plane ticket to Seattle.

I called in, then got transferred directly to adjudication office and a real human there. She asked a couple of questions and then said the issue was resolved. My new claims now showed processing and then paid.

I was amazed I could resolve this quickly and over the phone. It had nothing to do with declaring income as a contractor during claim weeks.
