How hard is it to job while at uni?

I know a lot of students say they will pay for some expenses while at uni but how is that is the current climate?

Depends on the course entirely.

Back in the day most students who had part time jobs worked in campus bars or bars like revs in the closest towns. Don't know what it's like anymore considering generational shifts in drinking and nightlife culture

Depends on the programme, but as a general rule it's easier at the beginning of the semester and it's getting more difficult at the end, so I would put as many hours as possible while I can and then maybe 1 day per week.

Some courses have barely any lectures, some have laods.

Depends what you study , I study maths and data science, it wouldn’t be very possible to do that and get decent grades

As someone who works whilst being at uni- word of advice is to be prepared to make some room for social activities with a friend group. Or at least a hobby/sport/spend time in nature that gets you going during it all. If you’re not going to do at all- such as on a hike in the outdoors or treat yourself with a good meal after cooking- you could take a real good guess, about how that would make ya feel, after nonstop working around the clock.

It depends lot or where you study your masters degree and the type of programme you are on. Programmes in Science can require a lot of additional lab time, as well as self-study, so fitting a part time job around these hours can be tricky, but not impossible.

In the UK the university campuses that are close to big cities offer the widest choice of student work, but that’s not guaranteed.

Remember to check the terms of your student visa if you need one because the rules around work and study are strictly enforced.
