RANT/VENT 😤 Got my new passport. What a Cheap quality.
I received my new passport. There was a certain feel when we used to hold your passport.
This… it feels like a cheap cardboard or something. The first page itself is torn when i open it.

The 30 pages passports look like this because of less pages. If you get the 60 pages passport the binding would be proper because the pages would be double.
Also, if the first page is torn then the passport is of no use. A passport becomes invalid if any page is torn and you may be refused entry by immigration.
Get a new passport issued, this time opt for a 60 pages passport so the binding is proper.

No, have 60 pages passport even my first and last page which is kind of laminated has poor lamination there are air gaps in it and looks like it may fall apart next time i travel ( not that i can afford to)

I have 30 pages passport issued 8 yrs back, the binding is quite good, unlike the one shown by OP.
So yes, the quality has been degraded intentionally.2

Yeah, my old passport from childhood is much better quality than the one I got renewed recently as an adult.

I have no idea what the logic is, but if that is indeed the case, they can easily keep two similar but distinct jackets for 30 and 60 pages, which would ensure that the 30 pages passport look proper rather than one with half the pages missing.

U got done dirty, my passport had to come after a beef with the police guy supervising it, fuker did not even send the letter, had to go to the passport office itself. But that passport was kissable, my face came good

I dont agree w you on the hospital/infra. Medical and pharmacy is much easily accessible in India than other countries. Ive been out of India so i can tell.

You can also visit the passport office. The officer J. Snehaja at Hyderabad who signed and put the official seal on your passport may be able to help you change it for free.

thats an e passport . So dont try to do anything with the first two and last two pages, even if it appears like paper glued on a cheap cardboard. its been started recently , may be will take sometime to get it perfectly

Well all the covers are meant for the 60 page version.
Its like putting a 100 page notebook cover on a 10pg notebook.
Should've spent the extra cash if you wanted a thicc passport lil bro.

On contrary, I recieved a really good passport (doomering on India won't improve things btw)
Make sure to contact your passport provider, I'm sure they'll provide you a better passport

Bhai Dustbin me fek de isko Kachra hai yeh... iski koi value nahi.... Jis airport jaaega wahan harassment hoga Indian dekh ke.... kahin entry mil bhi gai toh bhikari keh kar deport kar denge... Indian passport is such a loser passport.

the 60 page option is no better it's still flimsy. my 2006 passport is leagues above this. atp they are just trying to maximize profit everywhere...

Exactly the reputed travel document. Im surprised how people are okay with it or quick to say get a 60 page version. a page looks torn ffs.
