Second half vs KC…

We just seem so tired ugh tough to watch rn. Missed obaze during this game and having a lot of questionable feelings about bogere. So good to see Liv back on the field!!!

If Calzada needs time play her at home. Stop starting her on the road for now. Let her play in front of a crowd cheering for her so she can gain experience. The last few times she’s started haven’t gone well and the team can’t afford it and her confidence can’t either. To be completely honest we need to do some searching at CB

I think we played her this time because she is supposedly the fastest

I get the thinking but also don’t because she makes too many mistakes. Mostly from lack of experience. It was more important to have your best players out there who can complete passes and do well positionally. Also we’re on the road. Just a tough place for a rookie to play.

Counter argument is that playing on the road is a better time to play your inexperienced players because the approach to the game and expectations will be different. Fans would be pissed if we don't start our best players at home. That's a no-win situation.

Agreed.

But maybe having the fans behind them will help to succeed.    When on the road, hearing their fans cheer for your opponent when it's your screwup that set up the play or goal may be tough to reset mindset and then more errors occur.   Who knows.

Exactly. Have the home crowd behind your inexperienced players. Even if you do want to play them on the road, KC stadium wouldn’t be my choice. I don’t think Portland has ever won there. In fact, as they said Soph’s goal was our first lead ever there. That’s insane.
