Specifically Ukraine. Most soviet countries that werent Russia hated the soviet union, and Ukraine was definitely ome of them.

Sure, Ukrainians may have disliked the USSR, but that doesn't make her any less Soviet born.

I was in Ukraine during the euro maiden revolution and have been a big supporter of them since the original invasion 11 years ago. I still have friends there from my year in the country and know hoe Ukrainians felt about the soviet union (they hated it far more than Americans did).

I hide my post history because I think profile stalking is dumb.

Edit: I cant reply to their last comment as they blocked me. For anyone interested in learning WHY Ukrainians hated the soviet union so much, I encourage you to read about this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holodomor. It was one of the largest genocides in human history and rivaled the holocaust in deaths. It was orchestrated by the soviet union against Ukraine. A ukrainian born while they were part of the soviet union had very good reason to hate the soviet union just as a Ukrainian born today had good reason to hate Russia.

Oh my GOD this is delicious! DO IT Netanyahu, COME TO NEW YORK! And in fact, if we feel like this is a legit move they want to make (which says a lot about how powerful Zohran is and how they scare him), we should be putting pressure, MAXIMUM, at EVERY LEVEL to ensure the NYPD follows Zohran's oorders and is not impeded!

Netanyahu is elected, but he’s also a wanted War Criminal.

This is like getting pissy if Zohran promised to arrest Idi Amin or Adolf Hitler, especially Hitler since Hitler was also duly elected by the people of Germany.

You do know there are eastern-slavic people who aren’t Russian, right? Ukraine and Belarus both exist. The Baltics (Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia) also have significant Russian, Ukrainian, or Belarusian minorities. The US has also seen multiple small to medium waves of migration from Russia, Ukraine, and Belarus; most notably during the Russian Civil War and then during the collapse of the USSR and NeoLiberal “Shock Therapy”, and any time Tsarist Russia was experiencing a really bad famine.

You are trying to pull a weird version of the duel-loyalty conspiracy purely based on a person’s last name if you aren’t just a fucking idiot when it comes to geography and demographics.
