Unpopular opinion but come on
These two are welcome in my home. I’d love to see every second of your lives and criticize from my throne. There’s love here. Alec is as down to earth as anyone and we all are flawed people. I’d break bread with them. And that oldest daughter is a superstar.

I enjoy the show a lot. But I’m not a hater. I’m happy for people when they’re trying to heal and want to be happy and raising children.

Hear, hear. Sick of people offering parenting advice. There's no guide book. The basics are, in my humble opinion: don't hit your kids or verbally degrade them; make sure they have a safe place to come home to; tell them and show them you love them; spend time with them and listen to them; keep them fed and clean. The Baldwins seem to be doing all of that.

Kids aside, I was born on Long Island, lived in Greenport. I love when Alec is allowed to speak.

I wish he had more of a backbone, but, he’s traumatized. And that chihuahua is making More of a mess!

She truly is! You accidentally shoot somebody Holaria, and see if you can just get over it.
Edit- That typo is MINT😂

Yeah, he accidentally pointed the gun in someone’s direction and then accidentally pulled the trigger.

u/RemoteBear4718 Mar 26 '25
In any other circumstance, I'd agree. This isn't a normal circumstance. Many share the same opinion as you, which is fine. Many as me, I dont expect everyone to agree on this at all.

This was a tragic accident. You can see the sadness and horror of all of it in his face. I believe he’s a decent human being. I’ve seen interviews. He’s a good guy. I’ve heard him be an asshole too, but in no instance was he casually pointing and shooting guns at people. They were setting up a movie scene, on a movie set, with professionals supervising, him included. Unfortunately the paid professional “gun handler” wasn’t up to her job and handed him a gun w live ammo loaded in it. Maybe there’s an another explanation for it. The prosecution was willing to falsify their case and withhold evidence. IMO that tells me they didn’t have one except maybe they didn’t like the Alec Baldwin.

I would never suggest he doesn’t feel badly about it. That really doesn’t have much to do with anything. He has a reputation for being difficult to work with because he considers himself Hollywood royalty. Just sayin’. I don’t see that it matters if the gun handler had put a live round in every single chamber. He is the one that pointed the gun and pulled the trigger. Surely , there must be some consequences for this neglect and the loss of a life!

I used to follow and love her on instagram. This show has made me loathe her. Still love Alec, though. But she needs to shut up every once in a while and stop interrupting. She also needs to teach her kids some manners. And no, not every 11 year old is walking around looking 18. I'm not sure why you think that. And if they are, their parents need to do a better job.🤷🏻♀️

OP, I completely agree with you. I am enjoying the show. It's better than watching noodle hair Kody and Robem.

I used to follow her ig before cutcumbergate. I saw Carmen grow up so I love the kids. She even replied to my pregnancy post a few times. I like her less now watching this. I just can’t get over the culture vulture thing. But I’ve mostly always loved Alec. Love him more as I watch the show. I don’t think their kids are brats at all. And I love that they’ve always given props to their manny Nannie’s. If I ever won the lotto I’d have a brood of kids myself. I hope they show Ireland cause I love her the most out of all the Baldwins.

Love how people can be swayed by mere minutes of staged highlights selected from hours and hours of film that remains “on the cutting room floor.”
The gullibility of people is truly disturbing.
The kids, the kids, the kids. Make the kids the focus so as to tug on the heartstrings of the public.
Helena Hutchins doesn’t get to be with her kid!!

The tension between them makes the show compelling to me. She is horrible. He knows she's horrible. But he loves her anyway. She is clueless, but she loves him and I commend her strength in maintaining positivity and structure in her kids lives (even though they're on TV).

I completely agree with you, OP. I would much rather watch The Baldwin's than watch Kody and Robyn. They are disgusting to watch.

Alec wants ☮️peace. He did not know that. Oops. But, boy, he knows that now. He just wanted a second chance to be a good dad. How can you with all this chaos, which I believe Señorita Heliumrita loves? We all know her breasts are probably silicone. Why keeping showing off silicone? Who's interested? Seriously.

Mar 26 '25
He wanted a second chance at being a good dad? He wouldn’t even be in the house if he had acting jobs ! Lol
They’re probably implants?? lol I guess the jury is still out for you. Try looking at her flat chest at their wedding.

u/JakeNEPA Mar 25 '25
Totally agree! I went into the first episode assuming they would come across as entitled, pompous asses. I'm sure some would say that's exactly what they are, but I don't see it that way at all. I like her so much more than I expected and just love Alec. I find them down to earth, genuine, brutally honest at times & really funny! (Especially Alec!) I look forward to each new episode!

I actually like Hilaria more than I thought I would based on all of the negative press I've read around about her. I also totally understand why she might sound pretentious when she switches between Spanish and English. I used to have a weird accent when I lived in Montreal when I would switch from French to English or when I lived in Czechia and would switch from Czech to English. Granted, I never purported to be from either place (despite my family roots in Quebec) but we all fib -- we just aren't in the public eye. I think she's a good mom to her kids and to her husband (wink).

My mom was Spanish. She was born and raised here during the depression by my grandma who came from Spain and didn’t speak English her entire life. So for her early years my mom mostly spoke Spanish. When she was conversing w her family who spoke Spanish at the table for the benefit of my grandma, so when my mom switched back and forth fr S to E to speak to us, she sounded a bit like Hilaria. My aunts and my uncle also had that accent - not a thick accent but there.

Carmen is 11…..false nails, eye shadow(a very soft pretty pink) Carmen is 11. Her and Hilly have deep conversations. Help Those Kids!

I started watching thinking I didn’t like Hilaria because of the accent/Spain drama but now I really like her. I think she is a good mom and supportive wife and I enjoy watching her family

I'm going to watch them tonight. I still cannot get over the seven kids. They have the money for that many so no worries there. Just sit back and grab your popcorn and enjoy the show.

What on earth does Carmen do that makes you say she is a superstar?
7
u/Resident-Elevator696 Mar 25 '25
I want to know the sane thing. She's a 17 year old, 11 year old. Its ridiculous. She knows way too much for her age and she knows it. It's never been enjoyable for me to be around children like that. She is a child.

u/uraveragepaninihead Mar 28 '25
I also enjoy watching it. Its a typical reality show, nothing more, nothing else. The amount of hate and vileness towards them or their children is quite disturbing to be honest.
5
Mar 25 '25
It's a reality show and it's giving us a glimpse of their family life, and Alex's challenging personality. I'm all-in.

u/cookiepuss50 Mar 25 '25
If you like to criticize, there’s lots of material in this one show to do so (I’m guilty of it.) But, when I watch beyond the critical, there is a sweet, calm, loving & nurturing side to each one of them. I didn’t have siblings, so I’ve always been fascinated by large family dynamics.

I am enjoying the show. I started out a hate watcher and have come to really like them both. The stuff they say about the media following them tracks.

u/Ok-Highway-5247 Apr 02 '25
They obviously both have traumas but seems they are working through them together. I was doubtful before but watching now, I think Hilaria and Alec are a good match.

I went in fully expecting to rage quit after ten minutes, instead I found myself binging all eight episodes. I’ve always liked Alec, and I cannot believe I’m saying this, I really liked Hilary. It may be my new comfort show 😭💀

Not MY 11 year old-

u/Different-Schedule90 Mar 25 '25
Well good on you! Your kid is unlike the vast majority of them. Yay.

u/cluelesswallob555 Mar 27 '25
I'm biased. When I was 15, one night I awoke to being molested by a family member. I think allowing/encouraging any 11 yr old to be sexualized (acrylic nails, make-up, clothing for an older teenager/unsupervised social media) is setting that child up for possible trauma.

I really like this show. I like Alec a lot. I always have. He’s great to watch and he’s very funny. Ive come to really like Hilaria. Shes incredibly annoying at times w her bogus therapeutic mumbojumbo but imo - she’s human. We’re all allowed our weirdnesses. Both of them have a kind of beat up look. This trial and the paparazzi and the constant tension have def aged them both. But she does her glam thing and she succeeds for the most part. I’m appreciating it now bc you could just go to hell w yourself, and lose it all in fear and misery and hiding away and neither of them choose that.
Hes committing to spending time w his kids and she’s keeping them all fed and moving along. And my guess is this series is helping w money and celebrity exposure so if chooses to go back to work, he will still have public interest.
I don’t see him as unhappy. He seems very content w his life now, particularly since the trial is over. I think at the start of the series he was v unhappy and my guess is that’s bc of the trial and all the pressures w that including the real possibility of incarceration or probation or some other miserable outcome - all because a professional gun handler handed him a gun loaded w live bullets and the prosecutors of NM decided to put on their own theatrical event.
These last 2 episodes were really fun. The family is healing. That’s good. He’s right - that it’s good for them all, having him around to sit in a chair and simply BE there for them. It’s lovely. He’s lovely. They all are. For me this show is great fun.

I love this! And “both of them have a beat up look” killed me! You nailed all of it.

u/Dantes-Monkey Apr 13 '25
They’re a really fun couple. Whats interesting about watching this show is it’s a lot like it used to be when I was younger, hanging out w certain friends who were married and being w them in their home and how they spoke to each other and did a little bickering and a little nudging and loving each other. sweet. I’m thinking of a specific couple I’m missing now. :)
I’m so glad he has Hilaria and his young family. I’ve no doubt the shooting had to have been the most horrifying event in his life. The stress alone, with paparazzi and a slew of kids at home, and work pressures and the lawyers and losing friends just when you need them most.
But he has this little family that simply loved him and one another during the worst of it. They had to have been terrified they could lose everything. I’m really glad for all of them that the situation has turned around.

I like him. He’s funny, talented and smart. And I agree that he does love her. Also agree that their oldest daughter is mature for her age and quite capable. But, no, on Hilary Thomas from Boston …she’s completely and totally all about herself first and always.
