Jetta Trouble
The fan in my 2014 Jetta came loose and destroyed my radiator. It is at the dealer and I am looking for other possible quotes. The dealer is unsure of any further destruction. If anyone knows anyone who does work on VWs, or if you yourself are a mechanic, please reach out.

The dealership will always be more expensive. Look for an actual mechanic shop

Very unlikely that there's major damage unless you drove it after and overheated it.. That can cause blown head gaskets and/or worse.
A radiator replacement is not something that's major enough that you need to seek out a dealer and certainly not a german dealer. Keep in mind that Cap Eurocars has finite space to service vehicles and you're competing for space with Porsches.
Like someone else said below find yourself a decent independent shop. I'll be honest with you.. If it's just a radiator replacement.. Firestone can do that job for 1/10th the dealer with insured parts. I'm not saying it's my choice but sometimes you just need your car fixed and finding a good indy shop isn't as easy as it sounds.
It's not an exotic car or anything that needs special work and any mechanic can fix something that simple.
I hope that helps and doesn't just make things more confusing lol.

John at Wagen Haus. He can be pricey but most of the time that’s just what Volkswagen repairs cost. I know he’s not cheating me. I had a horrible
experience with repairs at capital eurocar.
