Rants/Raves Is there any community here that isn't exclusively in downtown

Pretty much anytime i see anyone doing anything it's in downtown where parking is impossible or at a bar I can't go to (I'm 20m) or somewhere that costs money. A lot of this stuff feels very unapproachable to me but I am trying to apply myself.

Cascades has all kinds of festivals and events throughout the year. I’d also check out first Fridays at railroad square

FYI, parking downtown is free after 6pm and on weekends, and there's plenty of parking downtown for most events. At worst, Kleman Plaza is very cheap.

There are lots of non-21+ events in the pinned events thread. Some of them cost money but many of them are also free. At worst, spending $5-10 to have a good time for a few hours is pretty worth it, IMO.

Good to know! I get really nervous whenever i want to go to stuff cause i have to drive 20 minutes and then when i get there on my GPS everything said tow away zone or restricted. I didn't realize they opened stuff that much though.

Parking isn’t “impossible” anywhere in Tallahassee. Learning to circle the block behind a business and then walk less than 0.2 mi to your destination is a valuable life skill.

Courtyard Cafe and Games on Magnolia is a good place for board games, puzzles, and they recently combined with My Favorite Books so there's a bookstore too :)

There’s also the whole online community too - FB loads of various Tallahassee groups from food, shopping, discussion boards, questions, beauty, school topics, organizations, live music and more

Check out events on FB! there’s usually something always happening and not all of them are downtown!
