Question Tailscale in Egypt

Knowing that the Egyptian government is notorious in blocking VPN, I was wondering if anyone successfully tested if tailscale is working over there or no!

Depends on the ISP. Some ISPs like Orange have presence there and doing have the same restrictions. If you're talking about most domestic carriers, then Wireguard, OpenVPN and TS are typically blocked. ZeroTier does still have bypass for now, but obfuscation (e.g. AmnezaWG 2) is the most reliable method.

Given that it takes all of about 2 minutes to install and configure, that seems like the best way to get your answer given that it could be ISP specific.

Unfortunately I’m not there yet, and wanted to know my options before I get there.

Went there and can confirm it works. Didn't do speed tests tho but it was usable.

I have a work site in Sharm El Sheikh on Tailscale. Traditional VPNs wouldn't work but Tailscale does. Gotta have an exit node, though.
