Recommendations The best storage units in the area.
Hey everyone, I have an aunt moving here in the next 3 weeks and she has a lot of stuff that she needs to put into storage. What are the best ones that you recommend that are climate controlled and clean and good with security.
Thanks in advance !

Most people around Surprise end up comparing the same few (Public Storage / Extra Space / CubeSmart / StorQuest depending on the exact cross streets). The chain name matters less than the specific location — some are spotless, some are a mess.
I would pick 2 to 3 places close to where she’ll be living (also check Peoria / El Mirage if it saves money), and physically pop in. You’ll know fast if it’s the right place: bright halls, no weird smell, doors work smoothly, cameras everywhere, gated entry that actually feels controlled, and the office doesn’t feel chaotic.
Also, ask what the rate is after the promo and if they’ve been raising rents a lot lately. That’s usually the part that surprises people more than security.
If you want, I can take a quick look at what’s nearby and tell you the exact location would be best if that helps.

I can tell you which one NOT to use, SecureSpace Self Storage at Litchfield and Sweetwater. 4 months into using them they increased my rent from $110 to $165 for a 10'x12.5' unit.
Prior to that I had a unit at Advantage Storage at 14924 W Yorkshire Dr and didn't have any complaints, but my unit wasn't climate controlled. Unsure if they offer controlled units, my reason for moving was to get closer to home and get a climate controlled unit for my motorcycle.
