please help

I have different problems with my Surface Laptop Studio (2 I think):

  1. It won't charge, it only works while plugged in and the battery indicator is stuck at 0%. as soon as the charger disconnects it shuts down.
  2. It shuts down at random moments without any kind of warning (it's not related to #1, for a split second you can see on screen the "shutting down" text). When it starts everything is as it was, I don't loose any of my work or anything, so it doesn't seem like it shuts down completely. It's like somewhere in between fully shut down and stand-by
  3. It takes several attempts to start back up. I press the "on" button and the microsoft logo pops up for a few seconds or minutes before the screen goes back to black

Had this happen to my surface book 2. Essentially the battery is dead (most likely). You can fix it by replacing the battery.

I believe on the surface studio 1/2 you can replace the batter yourself If your savy since it has screws on the bottom.

Check out ifixit or YouTube for tutorials. Ifixit may have a battery kit, but you can also buy a battery from ebay. Look up your laptop model number + battery and you should be able to find it.

Or take it to a shop, if you're not comfortable.
