XD Mod 4 EDC

I don’t have the funds for an Echelon, honestly not upset. After adding a few pieces of grip tape I rotated out my hellcat pro and the 4” barrel makes the world of a difference for me. Just couldn’t ever maintain precision with the hellcat after 100 rounds. Hoping to get an affordable dot once the optic plates are back in stock. The lack of accessories market is probably the only drawback where I wish I had the echelon. Yes, this is the same as the Mod 3 (maybe different trigger?) but I prefer the look and feel of the deeper serrations. Comfortably wearing this on an HC belt in a Warriorland holster. Totally different class of pistol but for anyone considering affordable options this is running strong after 600 rounds + probably 1K dry fires.

Cool grip tape placement, I went full grip zone tape on my recent mod.3 purchase which was precut for the handle, did you cut yours to fit or buy it pre-cut? I like the look of the slide serrations on the mod.4, its a very nice gun. Interesting you prefer those over the more expensive Hellcat.

Thanks! Cut them out myself. I have a 100+ foot roll of 3M grip tape that was getting thrown away at work. Traced a couple of finger groves and certain pieces on the back strap then cut to my liking. Customizing the grip tape helped reduce skin irritation when carrying AIWB. Dont get me wrong I love the hellcat pro, maybe a comp shoots better I don’t know, but I usually send 250-300 rounds each range trip and fatigue was real with that. I still keep the hcp around at home but the mod 4 is more comfortable for my hands
