Camden County Help choosing a restaurant for husbands birthday dinner?

Hey all, my husband and I have had a few stressful months and his birthday is coming up in a couple weeks so I’d love to take him to a nice dinner somewhere we haven’t been before. We just moved back to South Jersey (he lived here 10 years ago) so I’m still figuring out what restaurants are out there and what’s good.

We love Asian food, so I’m looking for some sort of Japanese/indian/thai/korean/vietnamese restaurant. Specifically I’ve seen Indeblue, Kooma, and Le Dish come up. Are any of those really good? Or is there somewhere else I should consider? I’m not worried about price as long as the food is delicious and he can have a nice cocktail!

Sagami is the best sushi in the area but it is BYOB and it’s pretty old school. If you want a more fancy experience, you might want to head to Atlantic City. I haven’t been but I have heard good things about Youyu in the Hard Rock and there is a Nobu in Caesar’s.

Heng Seng is beautiful and has great Cambodian food. Palace of Asia and Naan bistro are my favorite Indian restaurants. I’ve only been to Sagami once but I loved the authentic ambiance and the fish tasted high quality. Dolsan has a lot of specialty Korean hot pot dishes plus sushi.

It's an old restaurant, but my family has always enjoyed Yoshimoto steakhouse. Food is reliably decent and the staff are friendly. Serves alcohol.

Dolsot house is AMAZING korean in cherry hill.  Not very fancy and I don't think they serve alcohol. But the food is well worth it.

If you go definitely get the wings as an appetizer they are among the best Korean fried wings I've ever had

Fuji in Haddonfield is excellent (note it's BYOB though).

Best Vietnamese is Hen Vietnamese but it isn't a fancy celebration dinner type spot.

Dolsot House and Dolsan KBBQ are both good but once again not overly fancy.

Same with Rai Rai if you want the best Ramen in the area.

Sagami for authentic higher end sushi. Ozaki for AYCE.

I'm not huge on India food so my recommendation shouldn't carry much weight but Indeblue usually gets a lot of praise and I enjoyed it the one time I went.

Just go into philly and do morimoto, you’ll get exactly what you’re looking for.

We just moved out of the city and are really enjoying our time not in the city, so trying to keep us Jersey side. Thank you though for the rec!

Ah gotcha, sorry I missed that! Indeblue gets great reviews, theres Han dynasty in cherry hill but since you’re coming from the city i assume you’ve already patronized them. For non Asian recs i would def add farm and fisherman, zepolli, and barone in Haddonfield to your list!

Morimoto is exactly what I was thinking.

If you like Indian, and have not had it yet in the area, Indie Blue is hands down the best. BYOB so it keeps the check down and if you time it right Nuttin Bunt Cakes for dessert nest door

Mount Masala always flies under the radar in these threads. As does A Little Thai Kitchen (very casual).
