Community I can't stand the Nightbringer/Dawnbreaker skins..
Before I bait anyone any further, I mean I can't look at the splash art for both of them, because of the ear placement.
I actually did a little bit of paint editing, it took forever, please tell me I'm not the only one who sees how BAD the ear placement is, at this point it's all I see when I choose the skin in champ-select:
Rito pls, fix it D: I love the 3D model, WHY did the splash have to look like that?!
Edit: Now when I look at it, the crown isn't centred as well.. My head hurts xd

Yeah I saw that video! To be honest, as a comment above mentions (which by the way, some of them actually look better with the "little" distortions, as per the Karma skin where people said they actually prefer her head down intead of up to make up for the anatomical discrepancy), there's actually a ton of skins where the splash art just downright looks OFF (Dryad Soraka's horn isn't centred either..), most of them are liveable with.. This skin though, so front and center I just can't unsee.

Yeah, there are some splash arts with very questionable proportions unfortunately

I also pay extra attention to detail on Soraka' splasharts and like you on the ear placement and length.
I had noticed it on Dawn/Nightbringer.
But I also noticed how low the ear was placed on Pajama.
And I find Immortal Journey's ears a little too long.
I lowkey hope they remake all the splasharts for the upcoming League Next, since they will seemingly update all models to today' standards.

OMG YES!! I thought I was the only one that noticed it. I have been flaming the splash art for years now to my duo. I can't unsee it either and now the whole splashart just looks wonky which is sad as these where my absolute favorite untill I saw the jaw ear..

SAME!! I love these skins, in my head-canon, the dawnbreaker is literally as close as how she'd be perceived by mortal eyes if she didn't go down to Runetera to live with mortals and it irks me so *much* that the splash is wonky too!

The artists decided that since she has weird wings in the SG skin, no one would be surprised by her ears.

Every time I use Cosmic Lux, my favorite one, I notice that one of her eyes is angled downwards and one of her eyes is angled forwards 💔

Hot take. Dawnbringer Soraka is better. So is Coven Nami. Both Dawnbringer/Nightbringer Soraka and Coven Nami just feel much better than skins based on the original model of champions.
Soraka base just feels boring. And Nami is well... a fish.

So professional artists can also make that kind of mistake 😠I have an elven oc and often times do I place her ear on her temple 🥲🥲🥲

Ive always seen it but I thought it was intentional to give her sort of an uncanny valley "otherness" sort of vibe since shes like a unicorn or whatever.
