How is the Cicaplast Baume? Is it an occlusive/really heavy?? I’m thinking of giving it a try

It is a semi-thick, occlusive cream that does leave a slightly moisturised 'layer' on my skin. That being said, I love it because it counteracts the dryness that comes with differin gel 😊

It contains panthenol B5 an active ingredient that holds and delivers water to deep skin layers i think , ask your pharmacist about it there are other not OTC one and really cheap

I also use it and it feels heavy at first but melts in after about 5 minutes!

That differin gel is so amazing! It gets absorbed in 0.5 seconds! I just enjoy using it :)

Completely agree! Plus it cleared up my acne 🎉

Where can I get it? Thank you!

This particular producer is a French laboratory, not sure if you can get it in your country.

Do they have a website where I can order? I’ve been looking for that specifically. And the brand Aknicare Cleanser too. 😫

Sorry, never came across it online, I always had to get it from pharmacies 🤷🏻‍♀️

Like any pharmacy? Do you need prescription to buy it?

It depends on the country. I have a friend who gets it for me from the USA because it's over the counter over there... but a lot of countries still require a prescription for it.

I tried differin a year ago but couldn't stick it out. I'm so tempted to try again and stick with it but I am dreading the purge

1

u/AntiqueVelvet Sep 11 '20

Ah no! I was lucky that my skin didn't purge but I could only imagine how frustrating that must've been 😬

That Benton eye cream is probably my favourite I've ever used - and pretty affordable for an eye cream! I need to get that again when I get through my current stash.

Can you elaborate on your experience with the LRP balm? I got a sample and the consistency was more like a thin cream to me, not what I expected.

Agreed! The Benton eye cream is a constant repurchase 🎉

I really love the LRP balm because it's not too thick for my oily skin yet not too thin. So it helps to moisturize my skin and works well as a post-differin occlusive 🌼 I also find it to be pretty soothing for minor skin irritations. It's gentle, soothing and moisturizing so I'm a fan 😊

I'm glad it works for you - maybe I'll have to give it another chance. I'm currently using the By Wishtrend Cica balm that I got for 50% off. I love it, but at full price it's about $1 per ml, which is too much for me. 😬

How long have you used the differin?

3

u/AntiqueVelvet Sep 10 '20

For around 6 months 🌼

How do you like the soy face cleanser?

2

u/AntiqueVelvet Sep 11 '20

It's really lovely! It's gentle yet still does an excellent job at cleansing my skin. It doesn't lather too much, has a subtle rose scent, and it doesn't leave my skin feeling dry or tight. All in all, I enjoy using it and, if it's in your budget, then it's worth a try 🌼
