Same. Give me Drunk Elephant or give me death.

There are a lot of virtually identical products at less than a third of the cost

I haaaate minis, run out so quickly, such a huge waste of packaging and I also don’t really “try” things, I’m way too nervous to mess my skin up to try multiple things at a time, and I feel like there isn’t enough product in minis to really notice a difference in my skin

True, but they're also a great way to try products before you commit a bunch of money to full size!

Agreed. I love minis - I rarely use a whole bottle of something, and waste lots of money buying full size products that I use only a few times. I also travel a lot and they are so convenient!

do you know if herbivore sells their minis in singles or can you only get them in sets? im curious about their oils

Only as part of their sets- I got the jewels box from Sephora for my minis! I’m a die hard lover of their oils

Is there a mini subscription service where you can pick everything out yourself?

There are tons of beauty boxes where they send you minis but it defeats the purpose of a subscription box if you’re able to pick every product.

Hi! I’m pretty dry/dehydrated and sensitive :) I am very acne prone too. I love Herbivore. Truly. My skin has loved every product of theirs! Brighten is probably my fav product. I just love the packaging and simplicity, but they’re effective formulas that truly do what they say in my experience

I kind of wish the mini DE moisturizers had the push tops... because then it would be a mini push top
But I also see how that's kind of ridiculous.
Great photo & lovely collection.

I love minis! I have to travel a lot for work so it’s the perfect way to bring my faves with me. I try and refill from the full sizes so I don’t have to repurchase the mini bottles though.

That’s brilliant! Hopefully I’ll get to travel more to use mine up, I just love em cause they’re cute

I loveee minis! For some products, they’re more cost effective over time than the full size versions. I also don’t like to take up a lot of space or want to buy different sizes for traveling, so i usually just buy minis.

They’re rarely more cost effective. If you do the math, price per ounce, minis are usually 5-10x more expensive than what you would pay per ounce for the full size. It’s only cost effective if you won’t use it all before it expires, which would only really apply to products you use rarely...

OK I've lurked in this community long enough to ask..... what is a flatlay?
3
u/luna_moon22 Jan 25 '20
Hahahahaha! It’s where you lay products flat out and showcase them in a photo
6
u/maaalicelaaamb Jan 25 '20
Omg. I would never have guessed!! There was no end to my confusion about which products were “flatlays” and which weren’t. Lmao.
2
u/luna_moon22 Jan 25 '20
That’s totally fine! Some people think flatlay can include the products standing up too, but arranged nicely or in an order :)
2
u/lynxpoint Jan 25 '20
the confusion is understandable! but flatlays are only when they are laying FLAT! for some reason people think a regular, upright photo of their routine is okay... read the rules, people!

I LOVE minis. I travel a lot and it's such a pain to transfer full size into travel bottles that are always easy to break or leak. Minis mean I can just throw what I need in one bag and go!

I save all my minis whenever I have to travel (not fly) so yes I love them! I have a conference in another city and I just packed all my mini products for the long weekend.

I love them! I’ve been working on my C-Firma and B-Hydra for a looong time now so it feels well worth it!
Also, I gotta ask: where is the lovely marble tray from? I want one!
