Selfie/B&A [Hair Removal] This happens every time I shave Spoiler

Post image

I, 33M, shaved my whole neck and face, even the area above the redness. For whatever reason, my neck has horrible breakouts and bumps whenever I shave.

Does not matter if I use electric shaver or razers. Does not matter if I exfoliate, and I have tried several shaving creams.

This has happened my entire life, since I started shaving in high school. Usually I just leave myself closely trimmed to avoid this, but I would love to be able to get a close shave.

Are you brand new to skincare? Don't know how to build a skincare routine? The best place to start is our ScA Routine!

You can find even more skincare guides in our wiki!. Your answer might already be in there (and if it is, we might remove your post).

Everyone is welcome in this community; remember to be kind and assume good faith :)

I know you mentioned that you've tried shaving with a razor, have you tried a double-edge razor before? A single-blade might be a good shout if you've only used cartridge before.

Hi there,

It seems like you may be looking for information about shaving or irritation from shaving (ingrown hairs, razor burn, etc). Have you read our shaving wiki?

If you see that I am replying to something out of context (eg. listed in a routine), please report this comment so my handlers can remove it. Cheers!

I think you are shaving against the grain. Should only go with the grain.
