I like how people complain about the price but then order the double burger with extra large fries that are the weight of 4 large packs of mcdonald's fries and can feed 4 people. Which ends up being $20+
Don't get me wrong, it's still $14 for a normal sized burger and fries, which is still pretty expensive.
To be fair, the fries are generous and taste like real potatoes, and you get unlimited toppings on the burger with a much better and bigger patty than McDonald's. And it hits the spot better than McDonald's.
Still could be cheaper. But I guess it's supply and demand. Apparently people are willing to pay more for this.
I always find five guys to be a great value because one order of fries feeds 3-4 people easy. And the burgers are a good size so I am always happy with a single patty there.
It helps that at Five Guys you can also get every topping you want for no extra other than cheese and bacon. So if you like lots of toppings it definitely fills it up.
Here in Canada we have Harvey's where they do that as well (you order whatever size burger but then the toppings are up to you).
