"An under-appreciated risk was that the US could demand Europe remove Chinese technology from its energy systems — or face tariffs, sanctions or reduced security commitments, according to the report. It noted that the UK banned Chinese telecoms equipment maker Huawei from supplying kit for Britain’s 5G mobile phone networks following intense pressure from the US."
Vassal behavior. The risk you're afraid of is that you might undo your green transition because your Master might say no. And you can't disobey your Master.
Zero spine.

Also
Other risks include a large-scale disruptive attack that could use so-called kill switches to remotely disable solar panels, wind turbines and other technology, according to the authors.
You mean this: https://archive.ph/lLlo8
The rogue components provide additional, undocumented communication channels that could allow firewalls to be circumvented remotely, with potentially catastrophic consequences, the two people said.
Both declined to be named because they did not have permission to speak to the media.
Bro, they are sourcing from an article that only had two anonymous sources, It's an Ouroboros of fake news.

China will obviously retaliate by banning European companies from the Chinese market. Eventually the only market left for EU companies will be the European one and that one cannot sustain them.

Europe is destined to become nothing but a tourist destination and frankly they deserve it.

Is Europe a colony of the United States, ruled by a governor appointed by Donald Trump?

This is worse than lying by FT. Title is completely opposite of main article. And these white supremacist propagandists know most people will not read main article. Such a wonderful "western civilization" where leading media gaslight people in broad daylight like this. Imagine how most of brainwashed people would be who only consume the mainstream western media.

This magazine is owned by Japanese.

So, Japanese mainstream also frames titles like that. I am not talking about only this particularly only but general framing.

That's right, better stick with buying LNG from the Burger Reich.

Hey, this is great. Dear Europe, please keep doing what you're doing. Please cut yourself off from cheap Russian oil and affordable Chinese green tech out of your paranoia. Keep obsequiously licking the boots of the US empire as they charge you quadruple for natural gas. Let your factories rot, let your economies stagnate. Meanwhile, China and the rest of the world will move forward. You can tie yourself to the sinking ship of US empire. Meanwhile, markets will be built without you, and new world order will take shape.

Hello, friendly European dropping by.
I'm reading this very different. I instantly saw this as US propaganda to drive a divide between China and EU. I admittedly know very little about this 'cutting ourselves off from affordable Chinese green tech paranoia' so I won't start postulating what our governments are doing, but I don't recognize it from talking to my fellow countrymen, if anything we've been laughing and ridiculing US' blanket take on anything China over, well since forever. They pretty much inductrinated the west with their takes, like 'Chinesium' and poor products and workmanship, which is obvious propaganda, leaning to, if not often racism. Everyone I talk to is very obviously agreeing on the fact, that it is US that is the enemy on all spectrums. Personally I'm very impressed by what China has been and is doing, and I'd much rather be allied with them than those failed states in the middle of America.

I recently started buying Chinese sports related shoes and they've been fantastic (361, Lining, Anta). I sense these shoe brands may be a national security threat soon too.

its extremely funny these luxury brands actually believe they have any bargaining power when push come to shove
What, like Chinese are gonna revolt if they can't buy LV?

It is pretty well-known that these 'Top-end' Euro-brands are made-in-China one way or another. In the end, it is a circular economy.
On a side note, outside of a few cities (Shanghai/Dalian for etc.), Chinese in general are decoupling from branding and going brand-less or native. This change is especially apparent across generations. People'd rather spend on other things that better hold their value (i.e gold) or on themselves.

Tbh, you can't really go wrong with any of the Mainstream Chinese Sportswear brands like Anta, Li-Ning, Erke, Xtep, PEAK, 361 or even Qiaodan.
I had positive experience with even 回力/Warrior for their Winter boots.

Europeans want their cake and eat it too.
Want to stop being US vassals, but also want to lord it over non-whites.
Serves them right.
