I actually really really enjoyed this, and it was great to see character and competence from Silk. Let’s hope she gains more popularity during this run!

I don’t see how this mini is necessary, nor do I understand why Jessica Drew gets shoehorned into a spider book when she never had anything to do with Spider-Man or Norman before Slott put her in Verse

I keep seeing this and I know Drew has no orgin connection with Pete but still don't get why people are so shocked Spider-Woman gets included with Spidey books these days

West Coast Avengers was cancelled. There’s no Avengers comic for her to show up in. That’s why she’s in this.

Liked the Cindy stuff (except where she can't count, apparently <she's definitely in her 30s>) but my biggest gripe so to speak was Miles not taking enough charge. It could be hand waved that since it was his idea he was taking a step back, but still. All in all though, solid issue. Definitely expected worse
Actually I'll add: a bit more competence from Cindy, Miles, and Gwen would've been good. They definitely shouldn't have been 1-2 paneled by Norman imo

I think the Writer is making Miles the “heart” of the team since he’s the one with Peter’s notion of giving Norman a chance and suggesting the team. Rather than making Miles the leader.

I guess, but there's no reason he couldn't be both

I think he wants to give some of the other characters the spotlight with that duty though.

I find it interesting that Norman’s first exercise involves attacking Miles (who should be wearing his suit from his last series, which is good), Gwen (after defeating Mysterio from her own series, which is terrible), Añya, Cindy (who said that she’s in her mid-20s, even though she’s three years older than Peter), Bailey (after his own series, which is good), Maka (after her own series, which is good), and Jessica (who should find her son during or after all of this) so that he can prepare them to defeat him if he returns as the Green Goblin. Also, this comic is going to be them defeating Carnage and deal with the Spiders interesting with each other and talking about what has happened to them. Overall, this comic is off to an okay start.

Ok, I'll start by saying the premise of this book is odd. But I gave it a chance and was pleasantly surprised by it.
I know there's a lot of annoyed fans over how almost every character Norman is facing could beat him up or how them being taught by Norman is ridiculous. But I'm rolling with it and seeing what kind of story is gonna play out.
Stuff I liked regarding Silk in this issue:
- Her mention of her more recent villains like Kasha was neat, I know it's small but I appreciate Silk not being regarded as just yet another spider-woman.
- Silk being the first to notice something's wrong might shows how her Silk-Sense is more sensitive than everyone else's.
- Her having potential to be more ruthless than the others is probably a callback to Silk's early days where she'd let her anger get the best of her and go all out against her opponents (Dragonclaw, Phil Urich).
I'm not quite sure where this comic is going yet, I'm not a huge fan of Gwen suddenly being in 616 and already knowing the status quo as if she's always been there. And the whole "Spider-Versity" thing is really silly cringe, but it's fun at least!
I'm looking forward to the next issue and for the most part I enjoyed what this book had to offer.
