[PS5] What next?

I’ve been in a gaming rut playing Elden Ring Nightreign for the past year, but feel it is time to try something new. I have some solid games on backlog (Sekiro, Cyberpunk, Wuchang), but also would be open to buying something new (Lies of P, Khazan, and Yotei are on sale right now and I would even consider Crimson Desert, Dragons Dogma 2 or 007). I have played a lot of fromsoft games (DS1, DS2 (didn’t finish), DS3, Bloodborne, Elden Ring), and enjoy the atmosphere more than the head banging aspect (for example, didn’t finish cuphead or silk song because I hate the run back aspect). I think what I’ve liked so much about Nightreign is it combines snappy combat (like Ghosts of Tsushima or Arkham) with build creativity via relics and different characters, along with that dopamine hit from fighting a tough boss and the cool dark fantasy atmosphere. Looking for something new to break me out of my cycle though, I know there is a lot of other great games out there. Story wise I loved the Witcher 3 but never finished RDR2 (found it too slow and once I had all the good stuff didn’t feel like playing anymore). I don’t really like cartoony games like Fortnite or games where your damage is shown in super cartoony big numbers as you do it. I also loved TOTK and BOTW. So what next? My shortlist is:
Yotei
Sekiro
Cyberpunk
Wuchang
Lies of P

This comment has been added to this thread because "Crimson Desert" was mentioned. Unfortunately discussions around this game tend to get very heated, both by those who like the game, and those who dislike the game. It disgusts us that people feel the need to be awful toward one another because someone likes to play with different toys than them, and if you're someone so pathetic that you would do that, then we don't want you here. For this reason we are much more strict regarding Rule 10 violations, and any Rule 10 violations in this thread will result in a ban, even those done in retaliation. "They started it" is not a valid defense. Report and ignore. This will be the only warning given in regards to this.

Have you played any other CDPR games? I loved the Witcher 3 but have heard cyberpunk is a bit clunky, maybe better now though with updates?

I've played the Witcher 3 too. Honestly Cyberpunk right now is a great game. Ton of things to do, lot to explore and good story

I wouldn't describe cyberpunk as clunky, at launch it felt a bit slow movement wise till you got some mobility augments, but it's great now, and has some of the best gunplay I've come across.

From your post I'd say just go for Sekiro and Cyberpunk first.

Sekiro for sure. It's one of my favorite games of all time, it's just perfect in every way. I think I've beat it 6 times? And have been thinking about playing it again lately.

How do you think it compared difficulty-wise to other fromsoft games? I can manage tough games but have somewhat limited time and don’t want to be stuck forever!

Also, if you loved Sekiro check out Nightreign, they have a character (Executor) that has the same parry based mechanics!

Sekiro difficulty is kind of weird. I find it easier than any Dark Souls on replays, but first playthrough it was harder. Once you get used to the parry I think it's really not too difficult, except a couple bosses maybe.

If you have played other games recently that are parry focused I think it shouldnt be too hard, like Nioh 3 or Lies of P.
