Experiences after stopping vaginal progesterone at 36 weeks?
For those who were prescribed vaginal progesterone for an and were instructed to stop it at 36 weeks, how long after stopping did you go into labor?
I'm curious whether labor started soon after stopping progesterone or if you still went several weeks before delivery. If you're comfortable sharing, I'd also love to know when you delivered (e.g., 37, 38, 39+ weeks).

I guess according to answers here I might ask to stop the progesterone sooner...

As far as I understand it, that’s not really how the progesterone works. It’s not that it’s the only thing staving off active labour.

I stopped progesterone and had my cerclage removed the same day, went into labor hours later and delivered the following day. BUT, I think that was due to the cerclage coming out bc i immediately dilated to 3cm. If you're progesterone only, that's a different story. My understanding is that progesterone naturally declines in those final weeks of pregnancy anyway so that's just allowing your body to hormonally prepare for labor. I don't think quitting progesterone alone is going to kick off labor immediately.

I delivered past 2 at 38 weeks after inducing pain. Stitch removed in both at 37 weeks.

I was induced at 39+4! Had I not been induced, there were no signs that baby was coming whatsoever. (Was induced due to previous precipitous births and this one was precipitous as well.)
