Side effects

Hi, I've seen so many brilliant success stories of people using glp1s and as much as I want to be one of them, I just can't seem to get the swing of it. Currently taking 0.5 but have awful nausea, reflux, stale taste and my sense of smell is unbelievably heightened to the point I can't open the fridge. It feels like being pregnant on steroids and on top of that the appetite suppression only lasts about 2 days for me so I feel like I'm suffering for no real reason. Anyone got any advice, should I just push through or accept it doesn't work for me? TIA

Honestly, if the nausea/reflux/smell sensitivity is that intense, I wouldn’t force yourself to “push through” indefinitely just because other people had success on it. Some side effects calm down with time, but some people also do better on a different med or slower titration.
In the meantime, I’d go super bland and soft for a bit. Tiny meals, cold foods if smells are triggering you, lots of fluids/electrolytes, and don’t let yourself get overly hungry because that can weirdly make the nausea worse too.
And if you need ideas r/glp1meals actually has a lot of posts out what people can tolerate during these rough phases
