In 2006, Sony used 70,000L of paint to create this one advertisement

Someone correct me if I’m wrong, those buildings were scheduled for demolition anyways right?

More accurately, Sony funded some artist’s dream to do something absolutely absurd and used it as an advertisement.
I am mostly impressed at that actor’s ability to talk Sony into paying for this. That’s pretty damn cool.

Loved the coloured balls in San Francisco with Jose Gonzales, that was a great ad

Stupid waste

Only as wasteful as fireworks, huge Christmas tree displays, and new year’s celebrations. I think this was cool enough to warrant the waste tbh.

Serious question, how would they have done the paint fireworks in the air?

If I had to guess probably timed charges filled with paint loaded into a tube filled with more paint that launched them into the air. Similar to traditional fireworks but far messier.

Pride Month used to go hard. We're over here looking like casuals these days.

The buildings were going to be demolished so paint got cleared away with the rubble.

Psh... that's what fines are for! To pay a paltry sum and leave without having to deal with it!

Are we sure this wasn’t another OK Go music video?
