Anywhere off of Middle Gulf drive or West Gulf Drive. Find somewhere on the beach. We normally go for 6 days give or take.
Go to Wickie's for dinner and cocktails one night and splurge. Go to Grandma Dot's another night. Eat in one night or two and then try Doc Ford's for a more casual less expensive option.
For breakfast: Lighthouse Cafe is great.
Just get yourself a condo on the beach somewhere and get some supplies for the week. From there your only decision to make is where to go for dinner.
You can also do some fun activities if you get bored sitting on the beach for 5 days: Tarpon Bay Explorers for a canoe ride through the mangroves. Jensen's Marina to rent a boat and go to Cayo Costa and Cabbage Key for lunch.
Also worth checking out the Bubble Room if only for a piece of cake (they're huge slices). Also Pinnochio's ice cream. No day is complete without one or both of those waiting in the freezer/fridge for you.
Also fun to walk down the beach for a stroll and stop at Casa Ybel for a pina colada or daquiri - throw it in a yeti and sip on it for the walk back.

We like Casa Ybel. It is, like most places on Sanibel, condo living. Very quiet.
