Gap in Peen?

I recently received this Type 18c sword by Swordier and noticed that there’s a gap in the peen. It’s mostly on the one side but the other side has a slight gap too.

Should I be worried about this? It’s wide enough to fit a exacto blade through the gap. I’ll contact Swordier and see what they say but is this a normal amount of gap?

That parts more of a fancy cap so it's not just a hole you're good if it does actually fall off you can pee it out like a rivet it just won't look as good
