PSA Feedback on Bus ETA Confidence score

Post image

Hey guys,

I’m currently working on a feature for BusSing to where based on past ETAs and additional metrics like location, timing changes and so much more affects a “Confidence Rating” for each arrival time. End goal is for the app to learn and help you better estimate when the bus may actually come.

If you look at the image i’ve attached, you see bars on timings that based on my algorithm are not trust worthy. It recomputes every 30s so should the situation change, the score adjusts. I need feedback on how I can display this in a more intuitive way for users to understand (There will be some walkthrough for users when the update drops)

Any suggestions would be much much appreciated!! Thank you so much in advance

I’d do a coloured pill at the top right with a text saying “On Time” in either green/amber/red representing high to low confidence respectively. That should be sufficient.

Can consider to update the text to “Estimated/Est” and “Late” depending on the confidence level. Plus point if adding icons showing each confidence level, clock for high, ? for medium and ! for low. Or coloured dots instead of coloured pills work too if you find the component getting too messy.
