SAP EWM

Hi Everyone,

I recently got oppertunity to work in SAP EWM role. But I am security and Basis consultant with 5 years experience. Now I am confused whether I have been matched correctly or I have been mapped in wrong technology.

Please let me know if you have any thoughts.

It's a beast of a module, are they training you from scratch or do they think you already know it? Do you have a strong warehouse and logistics background?

For traning part they haven't given any confirmation.

No I don't have any background in warehousing or logistics.

Then you'll probably struggle, the worst ewm consultants I've worked with all had one thing in common, they had never worked in warehousing and had no knowledge of how things should be done Vs what the book says should be done. 

I think they've made an error here as it will take you years to even get the basics down nevermind the really complex stuff, the company should be leaning into your current knowledge and using that not giving you something totally unrelated.

Make sense, I also wanted to go in other field but got into this
