Ages

I’m rewatching season 1. Again. lol. Anyhow , none of these people look to be in their 30’s on here like they’re suppose to be. Which i know was their ages irl or pretty close. Laurie is 33 in the first season.

A Stash from the Past S 6 E 4. Spoiler

I understand it’s a documentary and all but,,, A Stash from the Past S 6 E 4.

The gang is in the bathroom stoned, with the munchies.

The jig is up ! Jackie has her ganja but by this time she’s pregnant from the one night stand with Fred.

We assume Andy turned out okay with a well shaped head but has Oreo breath.

Shaft joke?

I’m hoping this group can help me (and that this actually happened).

I seem to remember an episode where Jackie and Roseanne are talking about their mom. Possibly in a dark house.

The dialogue goes something like:

Jackie: “Roseanne, mom said she was a bad mother.”

Roseanne: “You mean like how Shaft was a ‘bad mother?’”

I’ve never been able to find the episode. I hope someone can help. Thanks.

Lottery Office Employee

I’m watching the episode where Dan and Roseanne go to the lottery office to cash in their ticket. I can’t help but think of how funny it would have been if the employee that verified their ticket was the guy that they got fired 3 times in season 8. I’m laughing just thinking about it.

Can We Give Original Becky Some Love?

Post image

Being more mature now, Becky has become my 2nd favorite character, Dan being #1. I loved Darlene when I was a young adult watching, now I see her as a mean person all through the series. I can why David was attracted to her after having such a horrible mother.

I think Lecy is brilliant as teenager Becky! I’ve never seen another character be able to show the relationship between mothers and daughters in the teen years as well as Becky with Roseanne. Fantastic!

No love

I'm doing a rewatch and I realized that in the first few seasons Dan and Roseanne are very lovey-dovey kissing cuddling that sort of thing. But as soon as Tom Arnold comes on the show it's done. You really don't see it anymore and I think that's where everything changed. I mean we all know it changed when he came on but now I'm seeing one of the reasons I think everything changed.

Writing room in the series finale

Embarrassing confession: after many, many rewatches of this, my favorite show of all time, I just noticed something new. And so obvious that I am probably alone in not noticing on first viewing. At the very end of the final show, Roseanne is wrapping up the internal monologue and the lights come up with her in her basement office. I just today noticed that the office was packed full, representing years of use. Not the bedroom they changed it into for David. It made that final scene there that much better to me, tying that detail into the way they did the finale. I do like the last 5 minutes of the finale so it was like finding an Easter egg.

Just realized during re-watch..

I was watching the Death and Stuff episode from season 1 and realized that the lady that comes to look at the washer and dryer with her husband is the same actress (Lee Garlington) that plays Darlene's friend Karen in the Santa Claus episode from season 4.

I know its common to recycle guest stars, but this one made me laugh because of how crazy the episode was. It would of been hilarious if they would of kept her name as Carol and had her make a reference to it when she sees Roseanne at her book store.

Is it worth watching? People say it's trash, and I've only seen through season 7 so far.
