Audiobooks?

https://www.backerkit.com/c/projects/audiorpg/nightbane-special-edition-hardcovers-audiobooks

Hi all, I know that this isn’t directly Rifts related, but my main goal is to one day have Rifts Audiobooks, and this is a step in that direction.

AudioRPG has a backerkit/kickstarter running now to release the whole Nightbane RPG as audiobooks and red foil editions.

My hope is that by showing support for this project, we’ll end up getting Rifts audiobooks down the line.

I’m not advertising on behalf of anyone, just a fan who really wants Rifts audiobooks.

How, exactly, would an audio reference book work?

I need tables in page X, charts on page Y, and a skill list from page Z. Do I listen to those chapters over and over each time I need a number?

Audiobooks are great for novels, but aren't exactly usable for reference.

I meant to reply to you in my other comment, apologies.

I think the books can be multiple things. When I’m sitting down to play or world build, then they’re reference books.

But I would also contend that Palladium does a LOT of world building in their books and there’s plenty of narrative and background information that you can enjoy and get a lot out of when you don’t need them as reference books. The first time I get my hands on a book, I’m not digging through the stats and tables, I want to know what’s going on, what’s happening and who matters. The reference material comes later.
