Mandela Effect

What’s the point of that sub? It’s like no one there believes in it. No one ever gets to talk about Mandela Effects.

I will die on the hill that it was BerenSTEIN Bears. I could read very young, and while my mom was grocery shopping, I’d read from the book stand. It was the 80s in a small town, in a small store, so I was ok being alone while my mom shopped. I remember wondering how to pronounce it. Why do I have that memory if it never was spelled that way?!

That’s my biggest one I just can’t get over. I also remember riding in the car with my mom and asking what does “objects in mirror MAY BE closer than they appear” meant.

I know for an absolute fact it was berenstein. I was hypertext, and being physically abused. Reading was my escape. So it was DEFINITELY berenstein.

We all have these memories of where we were and how we were trying to pronounce it. It’s crazy.

I also remember it because my children's literature teacher banned it from being part of projects and papers. She hated the series for some reason. That was in 2005 and it was still berenstein. Makes u think and be able to fill in the blanks.

She hated it cause she didn’t know how to pronounce it 🤭

Lol she had some sort of reason but I can't remember it now. She was a horrible, miserable person though and I failed her class :( I didn't realize til years later that I have learning disabilities.

I’m sorry you were treated badly.
