Mandela Effect

What’s the point of that sub? It’s like no one there believes in it. No one ever gets to talk about Mandela Effects.

I will die on the hill that it was BerenSTEIN Bears. I could read very young, and while my mom was grocery shopping, I’d read from the book stand. It was the 80s in a small town, in a small store, so I was ok being alone while my mom shopped. I remember wondering how to pronounce it. Why do I have that memory if it never was spelled that way?!

That’s my biggest one I just can’t get over. I also remember riding in the car with my mom and asking what does “objects in mirror MAY BE closer than they appear” meant.

Wait, what? Of course she did! that was the whole joke, that she bonded with jaws since they both had metal teeth

Did they retconn that? I’ll die on a hill for this one, I saw that movie 20 times and I remember it vividly.

This is mine. I got braces right around when the movie came out. I thought they looked terrible, and would only smile with my hand covering my mouth. Then I saw Moonraker. My Mom and grandparents pointed out how beautiful Dolly's smile was, etc., and it made me feel a bit better. Dolly had braces.

I love hearing about core memories like this, tied to a mandela effect. It's such a specific memory for you, there's no way that you are confused or misremembering. I have some like that too. The mandela effect deniers can come up with whatever explanations they want, but you know your memories are true, and that's all that matters.

I have a horrible core memory about the fruit of the loom ME because I thought the cornucopia was called a Loom and the day before thanksgiving break in 3rd grade we were having a little party/lesson and the teacher was asking fun thanksgiving themed questions and handing out candy when we got a question right, one of the questions was “what’s this called” and she put up a picture of the cornucopia and I so confidently shouted out “a Loom” and half of the class started laughing at me. It was one of those horrible moments of humiliation that stick in your mind for decades.

And that is proof that in your original timeline the cornucopia was there or you wouldn't have this horrible memory of mistakly calling it the wrong name. The fruit of the looms logo is how I found out what a cornucopia was in the first place. I wish I could find my way back to my original timeline I don't like this one everything is messed up.

I'm sorry that it is an embarrassing memory, but it is another example of a great core memory for the mandela effect. There is no way for you to misremember something like that. I got picked on and laughed at in school plenty of times, I know how that can really stick with you. Maybe you can think of it in a positive way now though, because that memory proves to you that the ME is real, no matter what the nonbelievers say.
