Coming back to Warcraft 3

Hi everyone, I'd like to get back to WC3 after so many years, specially playing against other people. What's the best choice atm? Do I have to spend the $30 for wc3 reforged? Are there any alternatives? What if I want to play against friends

War3Champions has a thriving community that's an alternative to battle.net's matchmaking. I believe you can run an old working copy of the base game if it's on your Bnet account and still play against Reforged players without having to see all their graphics, but I may be wrong.

But you will be in disadvantage, war 3 vanilla camera is way closer than in reforged. I don't think matches could be compatible.

The issue with reforged is vanilla War3 is 1% of what it was.

Anyway, you can play your original CDs like I do every now and then, you can buy reforged, it includes both versions. I'd say never give more money to blizz, they are pure shit.

Original war3 key gives you almost every feature refored does including camera zoom.

Reforged added like double the zoom out... Are you telling game War3 TFT 1.31 has a new 1 32 update that added that much zoom out? I'm playing right now with my original discs maxed patched out and I have to play 4:3 stretched to 16:9 (horrible aspect) and really closed to the ground (TFT v1.31)

Classic client doesn’t no, if you had classic cd keys added to your account they let you play using the reforged client but with new gfx disabled (which no one used anyway). I don’t think you can add cd keys to your account anymore though, you had like 6 years to do it…

I don't have the CDs unfortunately, I think my only option is to give money to blizzard

Is it only for pvp does it also have a good custom community scene
