Thanks! It's grown quite a lot. I got some funny looks carrying it home on the train when I first got it :)

I’m envious. I use to sit on floor and eat and be on computer on a coffee table for two decades. Then I got a new coffee table that I love but it’s too low for eating and things so now I don’t get up and down off the floor many times a day. Instead I have a chair and sit at table. Guess what? That other way was better for my body. I know it. Now I have aches and pains I NEVER had before and no way it’s coincidental. Not sure what to do I paid a small fortune for this coffee table. Thinking to buy something I place on it like a riser for eating at least.
The height of the table I guess is around 17”? My old one was around 16” and worked well. New one is 11” and terrible. I’m tall too so double whammy lol

Come on over to r/floorliving or try r/floordesks for some inspo! I’d prioritize my health over the sunk cost of a coffee table any day. Maybe you can resell the expensive table?

Yes give it a try! The older I get, the more I realize that I don't want to have so many regrets like "I wish I tried such-and-such"
And yes, the top of the table is 16" off the ground! I got adjustable legs because I've cut (permanently) legs to the wrong height before :P

I also have a 300 sq ft studio, but mine is nowhere near this clean or beautifully simple. It has the potential to be, though, so thank you for the inspo!

Where are all these tiny apartments? I want one so badly but they’re so rare here. Smallest here are usually around 400-500 sq ft.

They're honestly pretty rare here too (773), so don't feel like there's some secret land full of micro apartments out there hehe - a lot more in the range you listed

Mine is in a small city in New England, actually! I thought we didn't have any in this city for the longest time, but it turns out they just weren't advertising them. Probably because they were getting snatched up so quickly. As it is, I went on a wait list. You might check condominium areas, or a very large apartment complex.

I have a few condo buildings on my short list now. They're all in the 400-500 range. I'm guessing some...less legal spaces might be smaller but those are probably more like the word-of-mouth discoveries.

Did you cut the legs to the little side table? It looks like the ikea stools I love, and I LOVE the idea of shorter legs!

Yep! They're kyrre stools and I cut a few of them to varying heights with a hand saw

The apartment looks so cute and intentional, great job! What is the grey piece in the left corner?

Thanks! It’s just a radiator

Thank you for letting me know! I love the look of it. I had a tatami zabuton back in the day but now I live in a place where scorpions are common so no more floor sleeping

I couldn't figure out how to add a text description too so I'll just post here! Been downsizing more and more over the past year. Still have some furniture of course but now my 300 sq ft studio is feeling a lot more open. I sit on the floor a lot and have noticed my hip flexibility progressing a lot, which is especially good for my climbing. Without a bunch of stuff it's nice to not have to worry too much about all those extra little things that people around me seem to focus on to "complete" their apartment. Instead I just keep up with getting fresh air in, cleaning the floor and surfaces, and watering my plants. Pretty chill! My sister came to visit this week and it took all of like 20 minutes to clean everything
