Housing single housing

Hey guys! I’m an incoming freshman and i wanted to get a single dorm. How hard is it to get one if you request? I don’t have a roommate and I lowkey don’t wanna go random.

As a freshman? Not likely. Try to get into Sharp - it's all singles - virtually everything else in the freshman dorms are doubles and triples.

Most single housing goes to people with a DSS (accommodations for the disabled).

pretty hard, unless you cite a disability. i'm not 100% sure how rigorous they are with 'proving' you need accommodations, but i had a friend who was able to cite homesickness and (not medically diagnosed) anxiety issues.

if you're diagnosed neurodivergent (adhd/autism/etc) you should have a pretty strong case on why a roommate would be a struggle for you

iirc they do charge more for singles, and you lose on the classic 'college experience' (if thats something you're into?), and even if you dont get a single ur super likely to get a double (most rooms are doubles... depending on the dorm hall)

Not hard, it costs extra so they're happy to

try for sharp - 6 single small rooms that share a common area and bathroom
