Looking for Former RPI Professor
I was an RPI student during 2018-2021 and worked alongside Dr. Hubbell and took every class he offered. I lost contact with him during the debacle that was Covid and then RPI quietly furloughed him and several other professors from the department. They refused to give any forward contact information for him as it violated various privacy requirements.
If anyone knows where he went or, ideally, how one could get in contact with him I would greatly appreciate any information you have. I need a recommendation for a doctorate program from a professor I worked with in the same field and he is the ideal choice.
His full name is Dr. Christopher L. Hubbell, and he was a Psyc Professor at RPI for over 30 years.

Look at papers he's published and see if he has an ORCID, which is designed to track a researcher across institutions for exactly this case! You could also try asking other professors that are still there if they're in touch with him, and would be willing to pass on a message from you. I think Traver and Bram are still at RPI in the cog psi/psych field.
I took Learning with Hubbell around 2018-2019 and it's still one of my favorite classes ever (as a psych science major). Best of luck to you!

He's local. Google him with "carpentry."
"Due to Covid-19, I lost my job of 37 years in June 2020. I'm now taking a different direction until I can retire in a few years. I grew up in the commercial construction business and am the son of a master carpenter. For nearly 40 years, I have taken on a variety of repair and home improvement projects for friends or by word of mouth. Generally, I've engaged in a couple of projects annually."

He is not listed on there as of my last search, he was somewhat opposed to technology and specifically social media. He had a flip phone in 2019.

Professor Bill Puka probably worked with him for a long time. Puka is very active on Facebook. You can try that route. Good luck.

Have you contacted the department chair? Perhaps the department chair would be willing to ask Hubbell if he would be okay having his contact information shared with you.

Try the “rate my professor” site. It might at very least give you an idea on where he landed.

Your best chance is if any of the professors left that are contactable would be willing to pass your information onto him assuming they can contact him. I knew Hubbell way back from 1997 to 2002.
Off top of my head look at current list online, Brett Fajen, Holly Traver, Selmer Bringsjord, and Yingrui Yang would have all overlapped for most of that time. I rememer Ralph Noble as well but I think hes retired now but still has linkin page.
