The maturity level of Moderators

I've removed any references to the subreddit this is related to, but it is clear that some moderators will try to bounce users into a ban with no hesitation.

My reasonable question was why they are using an anti-spam filter to keep new users from participating and they treatened a ban almost immediately. I just thought this would be useful documentation of how these Mod accounts are weaponised.

Perfect encapsulation of the cowardly bullying mindset there.

A normal person would see this as a request from another normal person to post in the sub, because the rule wasn't made to address them. So you would just add the user to the approved users list. Job done.

But these people don't see themselves as providing a service for a general good. They see it as a way to establish power and control over others. Lacking empathy and misinterpreting social cues that we all understand, leading them to perceive hostility in neutral situations which just reinforces their bullying behavior.

If it's the sub I'm thinking of, these are some of the worst people in online Irish discourse, and they have their whole lives to pay off the damaging psychological effects of the guilt that they'll feel when they finally grow up.

I’m fairly sure the same 50 or so group of people moderate nearly every Irish Reddit sub

Except this one.

This is the only free Irish subreddit left, despite their efforts to take over.

I think it's max 10 or so FFG heads and then a bunch of monkeys to do the work for them.
