I always keep a roll of cling film with my first aid. It's basically sterile. It can wrap dressings in awkward places, cover bad burns whilst treating with cold water. It's great for attatching splints, wrapping arms in place for breaks and shoulders, buddying limbs and digits. I was on a first aid course with a mountain rescue crew, and they said it was one of their best tools in the field and I've found it invaluable ever since.
