Multiple channels

What is your experience in having multiple channels in the same niche?

My best performing channel is in the music topic, and the music i post is only one genre.

I see my competition is doing well in my genre(I'm just posting one video per week instead of 3 clips like them to avoid spam) but they also have secondary channels in another 2-3 genres.

I would also like to make another channel and post music only in that other specific genre. My concern is not to break the YouTube monetisation terms about duplicate channels.

The songs including lyrics and clips will be 100% diffrent.

From what I understand that’s fine. I don’t have experience doing that. But what you described aren’t duplicate channels.
