⚽ Football My collection Sincd 1982
I just completed the 2026 Sticker book, I have all of them completed since 1982, I am thinking that I should sell the whole collection, how much do you think you can get for this collection?

Saw available in stock for my warehouse on the app so I went and checked and there they were. Price was $76.99 with a 2 per member item limit.
The duplicates are almost as many as the different stickers. I opened 200 packs. I didn't complete one team. Not a single team! I don't know how I'm going to complete this set. For comparison, I opened about 190 packs from the international version and I almost got the full set, only 8 stickers remaining.
The order was sent from Amazon US internationally, it arrived quickly but it arrived like this! They shipped paper boxes of paper stickers inside a paper bag, internationally! Every single box was either damaged, tampered with or both. A few packs were missing and one was opened. Worse than that was their response, they simply said I should return the boxes. Based on their response and how they initially sent the boxes, I didn't feel confident to send them back. They would have blamed it on me or on the customs in my country anyway and perhaps send them back to me. Anything they send in these paper bags will arrive damaged, doesn't take a genius to figure that out!
This was supposed to be a fun rip. Thanks Amazon and Panini for the waste of money.

Very few were actually able to get the Amazon order delivered and for the price and what you get Costco was actually the best option

Just got home from work and my album was delivered. 0 damage. Originally ordered 1st week of May with one delay and it got delivered today. 0 damage to the package.

tl;dr - Prepare to spend $$$$$ for any level of completionism. Find yourself some trading partners!
I just wanted to share some back-of-the-motherboard math I was working on to help me decide if I want to keep pursuing buying more packets. I did ask AI for help with the math as my last Statistics class was > 20 years ago.
------------------------
I wanted to answer a simple enough question: What is the average number of packets I would have to open to obtain all 20 stickers for 1 team?
There are 2 ways to look at this:
First, some givens:
------------------------
All 48 teams race in parallel. Stop the moment any one crosses the "finish line." This requires a Monte Carlo simulation. Simulated over 150,000 trials:
E[packets] ≈ 231 packets → ~$462
Here's a breakdown, as well, showing the expected packets needed with higher levels of confidence (in other words, using the below data, you would say that 90% of the time, one would expect to have completed at least any 1 team after opening 273 packets)
Percentile │ Packets │ Cost
Mean │ 231 │ $462
50th (median) │ 232 │ $464
75th │ 254 │ $508
90th │ 273 │ $546
95th │ 284 │ $568
------------------------
You're hunting 20 specific stickers out of 979 total.
When you already have k of your 20 target stickers, the probability the next sticker is a new one is (20 − k) / 979.
So on average you need 979 / (20 − k) draws to find the next one.
Sum those stages from 0 to 19:
E[draws] = 979 × (1/20 + 1/19 + 1/18 + ... + 1/1)
= 979 × H(20)
= 979 × 3.5977
≈ 3,522 individual sticker draws
E[packets] = 3,522 ÷ 7 ≈ 503 packets → ~$1,006
------------------------
I decided to go one step further, out of curiosity, to see what it would take, on average, to obtain all stickers in the book. I did use 980 unique stickers this time.
Solved using the Coupon Collector Problem (there are calculators online to achieve this. Just set Drop Rate to 1, total coupons to 980, and "Rolls per loot" to 1). This was also verified via simulation, but here's the math:
E[draws] = 980 × H(980)
= 980 × (1 + 1/2 + 1/3 + ... + 1/980)
= 980 × 7.4653
≈ 7,315 individual sticker draws
H(980) is approximated as ln(980) + γ ≈ 6.887 + 0.578 = 7.465 (γ is the Euler–Mascheroni constant).
E[packets] = 7,315 ÷ 7 ≈ 1,045 packets → ~$2,090
------------------------
Remember, these are averages, aka - 50th percentile, aka - mean.
Anecdotally, I have opened 163 packets. I have no complete teams. The closest I am is 18/20 for 2 teams, and 17/20 for 3 other teams. As far as duplicates, my worst offenders are, I think, 5 copies.
For USA readers, I have 2 reds, the rest are blue and white.
I have purchased from Scheels (53), Walgreen's (70), and the Costco box (40).

Am I the only one that places both LATAM add North American (and gold) versions of the stickers together in the same album? I like the white borders of the North American stickers, but I also like the all blue from the LATAM stickers 🤷🏻♂️

I have been using the softcover but i kinda regret not going hardcover since i think it’ll protect it better over time, but the softcover is classic.
What do people usually do? is there a good way to protect the softcover album?
Cheers!

Hi everyone, I just got into the hobby from the coke bottles. No where in my town can I find an album though, so I'm not sure how to integrate them yet. Any ideas ?

Let’s not turn every hobby into a money grab. We complain about FIFA and ticket prices, but we turn around and do the same with a hobby older than all of us. It’s so hard to find people to trade without them asking for cash or other parallels. Game’s gone.
I don’t know all the numbers yet from my feverish opening of packs over the last week. But, this guy has been ubiquitous. I must have at least a dozen of these stickers. And I have two blue, one orange, and one red of the alternate borders for him. I have a box of Costco packs to open. If I get the fuchsia border for this number it’ll be quizzical.

First packet of the journey starts with an extra sticker.

Does anyone know why the borders of the stickers come in white, blue, and red?
