News [NEWS] "Re-Living My Life with a Boyfriend Who Doesn't Remember Me" is reportedly getting a TV anime adaptation

Summary: Magic school is a lot harder when you're trying not to die!
Life seemed perfect for Oriana after she started dating Vincent in the winter of her fifth year at the academy. Little did she know, her beloved would soon die under suspicious circumstances. Before she can process anything, she wakes up to find herself back in her seven-year-old body with no idea how she died. When she finally returns to the magic academy in hopes of reuniting with her boyfriend, she finds out Vincent has no memory of her! Now she's back at square one. Can Oriana navigate this second chance at life and change the course of Vincent's fate? Making her crush work out really is a matter of life and death!
Oriana, a seventeen-year-old magic student, suddenly dies alongside her boyfriend, Vincent. However, she returns from death in the body of her seven-year-old self with the memories of her past life intact–except for the knowledge of what killed her. She fantasizes for years about reuniting with her beloved, but when they finally meet, Vincent doesn’t remember her! As much as i am happy this is getting an anime i am afraid they will stop after one season and never finish the story is this complete by the way ?

this series is popular enough in japan to prompt a 2nd season, especially if the 1st turns out to be successful. can't say much about the novel since i haven't read it though

there's a 4-5 months interval between official english volume releases. since the latest one was released sometime during december, the next one would be around april or may.

No shade on the animator for the anime adaptation but please PLEASE have someone (like the og mangaka) who has similar art styles. I still remember the field scene is ML's mind, looking at the path he's supposed to take and seeing a single flower blooming in his path, blocking him, the flower with FL's name. It's such a miniscule detail but the way they drew it in the manga and how they illustrated it is so poignant and memorable.

lmfao same bc when the endo and kobayashi anime ended up adapting the light novel art style instead of the manga i just didn't watch it altogether

this is the second time this year(yea within 2 weeks) i recommend a manga to my bestie for it to announce an anime adaptation "insert if i had a nickel meme"
but in all seriousness i am soo happy this one is getting an anime, i don't even watch anime that much anymore but this manga has been living rent free in my head for awhile now i love every single character especially my pookie Miguel, I am so looking forward to this

The plot from what I remember is when they attended a ball, both of them were attacked and killed. The girl goes back into the past (a year?) Before they were killed but it's also before they became close friends/dating. It's about her trying to save her boyfriend from being killed and figuring out who did/will do it.

LET'S GOOOO!!! I swear, there's been plenty of anime adaptation announcements of shoujo/josei and otome isekai/villainess recently. I'm so happy. Now fingers crossed the quality is good!!
Also, that reminds me, I should continue reading it lol.

On the one hand, I'm so happy!! On the other... why is the art so different from the beautiful manga 😭 I know even the manga is a adaptation of the novel, but the soft art is just too, too perfect!!!

Personal review of the art: Manga is gorgeous, JP version of LN illustration is great, V1 of official EN is good, V2 is so bad.
I'm still so mad at this novel, not because it's bad but because V2 is just absolute boring compared to V1 by a huge margin.

no it does not. there is only one character i could argue as a second ML but Miguel never romantically involves himself with the female MC, Oriana.
i read a spoiler saying hes aware of every reset they've experienced + is tied to both MC. so he's more of a wingman to both. (spoiler for ln vol 3)

I am hopeful, but I don't want to have too high of expectations. The art in the manga is to die for (I'm saving up to purchase the official books), and the manga and light novel story are both very good. Unfortunately, most of the animations for otome anime has been ATROCIOUS. I will hold judgement until we get a teaser...
