This is weird. This is the second series by the same author where the artist left. Let’s Get Married First at least just changed artists, but the art is too different from the original and not as lively. A lot of readers, including Korean readers, dropped the comic because of it. So I’m not sure what’s gonna happen with this one.

Either the author is sus or they just draft contracts differently. Could be that they only pay artists by the season and they just didn't meet the needs of the artist.
There's a lot of examples of authors and editors working their artists to the bone and having to leave because of that, but it could also just be contract issues

The author has two other comics, not sure what their status is yet but so far they still have the same artist. Since this artist is still working on other things I don’t think it’s a case of overwork, if the issue is with the author. Perhaps the author is just picky and clashed with the artists in some way, or maybe yeah, it’s a contract issue— or the publisher is kinda shady. Or maybe the artist would rather focus on her new project than this one.

I still weep on how "Valia, Tribute to Shuden" changed artists, such a travesty.
And then there are series that should change artists because of how much the art degrades over time, like for "Revolutionary Princess Eve" and "Please Marry Me Again!"

Someone commented that sometimes, there's just a bunch of authors that were picky or difficult to work with.
Tho we still don't know the reason with this one, maybe it just due to normal circumstances (artist has another priority, contract ended, etc...)

Noooooo this is one of fav new OIs. I even read the available translated novel chapters and was looking forward to the adaptation.
Hoping that it gets season 2 and if it does, the art will be good (i don't rlly have high hopes when it comes to artist change. Plz prove me wrong this time....)

edit for future commenters:the website that held the fan tl for the novel has was hit sometime last year resulting in most of the chapters being deleted apart from the first 20

hello! unfortunately i was informed a good while after this post that any chapter post 20 was deleted by the translator due to a novel hunt sometime around october 2024 unfortunately no way to access the novel outside of what the translator says at the end of chapter 20

Okay I felt my heart get stabbed after seeing this news, this is so not fair. Used to go crazy for Karhan because of his teddy bear personality, strong hands and nice chonky pecs. I hope the new artist can capture the charm of the manhwa in their own way like "The Second Male Lead is actually a girl".

I'm so sad! If they get another artist, I hope they are just as good. If they aren't, I'll read the novel, as I really love the dynamic of the characters and think the story is super cute. Fingers crossed the old artist is okay though! I know sometimes life can happen, the story isn't interesting enough to keep the artist interested, or the artist was being treated awfully, so hoping they are okay and get to keep doing what they love.

I just read it today fully (chap 52 ) after leaving it to finish up for a year so there is enough to read, just to be met with this, it's honestly sad, many artist are forced to stay with a series because the art is loved and letting it go breaks our hearts, but as much as we love the work we should respect the artist and understand, glad the artist isn't a pushover. As sad as this is and it's already been a year I hate art changes. I find it hard to finish novels but since I feel like crying with how unfair things can be I will find my way to enjoy it. Honestly the original work is mostly always better so reading the novel will give more of the raw imagination I hope 😊

they didn’t explain their reasons for leaving the series and unfortunately we haven’t gotten any answer on whether or not the story will move forward

Oh wow I was not expecting this. Their art is super pretty. Kinda wondering what went on behind the scenes because looking at their account it looks like they have plans to work on something else. So it doesn't sound like they had to stop working on it because of health reasons or something similar.
