Ich (m17) bin dieses Jahr wieder am Nova Rock und habe gerade gemerkt, dass sich Trivium und Bad Omens um 15 Minuten überschneiden. Ich kann also entweder bei Trivium „In Waves“ anschauen kann, was ich unbedingt will oder das ganze Set von Bad Omens inkl. Specter sehen. Bis jetzt war für mich klar, dass es In Waves wird, aber ich habe mir Specter nochmal angehört und es ballert schon. Ich weiß jetzt nicht was ich machen soll. Trivium waren erst in Wien und ich liebe In Waves, aber Specter ist schon auch gut. Ich hatte mir überlegt, dass ich während In Waves gehe, damit ich The Death Of Peace Of Mind und Dying To Love erwische, aber dann verpasse ich hald Specter. Was würdet ihr empfehlen? Hoffen, dass Bad Omens nach Wien kommen oder In Waves anschauen und genießen, weil die erst da waren und nicht so bald wiederkommen?

Bzw. Wie ernst nehmen die das mit dem Gaskocher Verbot bzw. Ich habe eine große power station wo ich auch eine Herdplatte dran machen kann ist das erlaubt ? Bzw. Kontrollieren die das wirklich.

Wir wollen am Sonntag in die erste Reihe, gleich von Anfang an hatten überlegt Energie riegel oder sowas einzupacken, sagen die was, geben die ein vorne Wasser, kenne das von anderen Festivals.

We're a group of friends who often go to festivals together. We've been looking for a good way to organise everything from schedules to shopping but never found anything that actually works, so we built our own solution and thought we'd share it.

It's called FestivalMate and it mainly does three things:

Schedule with clash detection. You mark the bands you want to see, get a notification when it's about to start, and you also get a clear overview of which bands your mates are catching. (Sadly Nova has not poster the schedule yet but will update as soon as its posted)

Shared shopping list. Everyone adds what's needed before the trip and ticks things off live as people shop, and you can even assign specific items to specific people. No more arriving at the campsite to realise three of you bought duct tape but nobody thought to bring beer.....

Cost splitting. When you add something to the shared list you can also enter the cost. You get an overview of all shared purchases and see clearly who's paid for what, and exactly how much everyone owes each other.

Completely free to try. It's new so there are bound to be bugs, but we'd be super grateful for any feedback you want to give us.

Wir haben festgestellt, dass Shuttle Tickets heuer 15€ kosten (vor zwei Jahren waren es noch ca. 7€), und es einen festen Preis für Sondertaxis gibt. Gilt das pro Taxifahrt, oder pro Person? Wir reisen Sonntag an, zwei Personen mit nur Tagesgepäck, also wir würden uns ohne Probleme in einem Taxi ausgehen. Weiß jemand wie das berechnet wird?

Ansonsten haben wir uns überlegt, statt mit einem normalen Zug über Podersdorf, mit dem direkten Shuttle von Erdberg zu fahren - hat da jemand vlt. Erfahrung dazu?

I recently bought a Tent Hotel XL and will be staying the 4 days. I saw that no gazebos or pavilions are allowed, can we bring an umbrella and chairs to place at the front of our tent? How do experienced Tent Hotel goers set up during the festival? Ich hab ein Festivalticket, nun ist mir leider am Donnerstag noch ein nicht zu verschiebender Termin untergekommen. Ist die Bandausgabe ab Mittwoch durchgehend geöffnet, also kann ich auch nachts ankommen und auf den Campingplatz gehen oder kann ich nur tagsüber mein Ticket gegen Band eintauschen?

Da dieselben Fragen immer wieder auftauchen – scheinbar ohne einen Blick auf frühere Beiträge 😉 – habe ich hier eine kurze Zusammenfassung für euch erstellt.

Grundsätzlich gilt: Das Nova Rock Festival findet auf einem weitläufigen Gelände statt, das auf Äckern und Wiesen aufgebaut wird – also ohne direkte Infrastruktur in unmittelbarer Nähe.

Das Festival ist darauf ausgelegt, dass der Großteil der Besucher direkt am Gelände übernachtet. Deshalb ist die Anreise mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln nur eingeschränkt möglich und es fahren nicht laufend Verbindungen bis direkt vor das Festivalgelände.

Die öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel rund um das Nova Rock sind daher nicht für tägliche Fahrten zum und vom Gelände ausgelegt, sondern in erster Linie für die An- und Abreise gedacht.

Der reguläre Zugverkehr läuft während des Festivals selbstverständlich weiter. Da Nickelsdorf jedoch eine eher kleine Gemeinde ist, gibt es auch im Normalbetrieb keine besonders hohe Taktung.

Aktuelle Fahrzeiten und Verbindungen sind direkt bei den jeweiligen Verkehrsunternehmen bzw. in den offiziellen Fahrplänen einzusehen.

Grundsätzlich gibt es zwei zusätzliche Möglichkeiten, die speziell für das Festival eingerichtet werden.

Für diese Angebote muss vorab unbedingt ein Ticket bzw. Sitzplatz reserviert werden. Ohne vorherige Buchung ist eine Mitfahrt in der Regel nicht möglich, bzw. kann es hier sonst zu Komplikationen kommen.

Shuttlebus ab Wien

Direkt von Wien mit der Firma Blaguss zum Festivalgelände.

Für jede einzelne Fahrt muss ein separates Ticket gebucht werden. Das bedeutet:

Hinfahrt: Wien → Nova Rock = 1 Ticket
Rückfahrt: Nova Rock → Wien = 1 Ticket

Wer also mit dem Shuttlebus zum Festival fährt und wieder nach Wien zurück möchte, benötigt 2 Tickets pro Trip.

Preis pro Fahrt: 25 €
Hin- und Rückfahrt kosten somit insgesamt 50 € pro Person.

Der Sonderzug fährt bis zum Bahnhof Nickelsdorf. Von dort aus verkehrt mehrmals täglich das Bahnhofsshuttle direkt zum Festivalgelände.

Wichtig: Das Shuttle ist nicht kostenlos. Vor Ort ist eine einmalige Gebühr von ca. 15 € in bar zu bezahlen.

Mit dieser Gebühr sind anschließend beliebig viele Fahrten zwischen Bahnhof Nickelsdorf und dem Festivalgelände möglich.

Since the same questions keep coming up again and again – apparently without checking previous posts 😉 – I’ve put together a short summary for you.

In general: Nova Rock Festival takes place on a large open site built on fields and meadows, meaning there is no direct infrastructure nearby.

The festival is planned with the expectation that most visitors stay overnight at the campsite. Because of that, public transport options are limited, and there are no constant connections running directly to the festival grounds.

Public transport around Nova Rock is therefore mainly designed for arrival and departure, not for daily trips to and from the site.

Regular train services continue during the festival, of course. However, since Nickelsdorf is a rather small town, there are not many regular connections even under normal circumstances.

Current schedules and connections should always be checked directly with the respective transport providers or via official timetables.

There are basically two additional transport options specifically arranged for the festival.

For both options, tickets / seats must be booked in advance. Without a prior reservation, boarding may not be possible and complications can occur.

Shuttle Bus from Vienna

Direct service from Vienna to the festival grounds operated by Blaguss.

A separate ticket is required for each individual trip:

Outbound: Vienna → Nova Rock = 1 ticket
Return: Nova Rock → Vienna = 1 ticket

So if you want to travel to the festival and back to Vienna by shuttle bus, you need 2 tickets per round trip.

Operated by ÖBB from Vienna to Nickelsdorf railway station.

Exact schedules for the special trains are usually published only a few weeks before the festival. Until then, schedules from previous years can be used as a reference. (The attached timetable is for 2025.)

The special train goes to Nickelsdorf station. From there, the station shuttle runs several times a day directly to the festival grounds.

Important: The shuttle is not free. A one-time fee of approx. €15 must be paid in cash on site.

This fee then allows unlimited rides between Nickelsdorf station and the festival grounds.

Hallo zusammen wir sind in unsere recht festival erfahrenen Gruppe ( Rock am Ring ,Graspop beides mehrere Jahre am Stück) zu dem entschluss gekommen das wir die schnauze voll vom Graspop haben und überlegen zum Nova zu fahren Da wir aber recht un entspannt knapp 10std fahren würde hier schonmal ein paar fragen :

1. Wie sieht es mit Party aufm Zeltplatz aus kennen quasi beide Seiten von herrlicher total Eskalation aufm Ring bis zu es gibt quasi keine Party aufm Graspop

2.Camping gibt es besondere Regeln die über das übliche kein Glas keine großen Gas Kartuschen etc. Hinaus gehen und einem das Leben schwer machen?

1. Gibt es einen tatsächlich bezahlbaren Supermarkt aufm Gelände oder muss man alles an Lebensmittel mit nehmen wenn man keine Niere bezahlen will ?

2. Wie schnell sind die Karten so im Schnitt ausverkauft ?

3. Wie siehts mit Lauf wegen aus ? Auch da kennen wir von 30min mit Berg hoch und allem bis zum infield , bis hin zu wir können die 2. Stage sehen auch alles
